The FBX Importer is still completely broken.

    Previously, any FBX file with animations would crash the importer and spew errors into the console.
    In 2019.3.4f1, this was "fixed", and by fixed I mean it now *deletes all of your animation events*.

    If I copy working, event-filled .fbx.meta files from my backup to the project with the new version, it just deletes them. From the file. It goes into the file, strips out the events, doesn't give any errors or log anything.

    I thought maybe the format for animation events was changed, so I added a few random ones in the editor to some animations. Upon clicking apply, they disappear.

    Either FBX needs to actually be made functional or Unity needs to support other file formats, this is an absolute joke.

    I've not seen this behaviour on my projects (thank god)... is there perhaps something wrong with the fbx files you're using? where did they come from? Did you try ones from asset store?
