    In the Asset Store, there's a star rating next to each item and a number in brackets. Is the number the view or download count?

    Ah yes. It's the number of ratings. Is there a way of viewing the download count?

    Why would you care about that?
    Do you need the asset yes/no should make your decision, also the rating or comments to see if people had issues with it.
    Download and maybe view counts should only concern the asset publisher.

    Download counts for paid stuff are usually always hidden or very rough estimates in all stores and market places because its kinda confidential trade/business information depending of the seller entity and etc.
