texturing in max for transparence

    Hi, i wonder how do i texture my model in 3ds Max 9,
    for export in unity indie ?
    I tried to do a river with a new "compositing" material, with an alpha for the river side and a shader "water simple" for the river center.
    Can i do this ? in unity indie ?
