TexturedFont Shader in 2.0 GUI?

So we're trying to use a custom font with color information. It works fine in the old 1.x GUI elements with this shader: http://www.unifycommunity.com/wiki/index.php?title=TexturedFont

But it doesn't work in the 2.0 GUI. Is this something we can fix, or are we doomed to 8-bit alpha fonts?

 

No word on this?

 

i have a project I'm waiting to re-open just for this feature. My gui is all in gui text files, which, as you can imagine, is a mess.
