Texture terrain below a mesh object at runtime

    Hi all, I wondered if anyone had a tried and tested approach for texturing a terrain area below a mesh boundary at runtime. I use mesh generators to excavate my terrain and it would be useful if I can use those same objects to apply materials.

    I guess it equates to using a mesh object as a runtime texture stamp.

    Any thoughts on a starting point?
