is there default texture atlas option for it or not
You can use the built-in Sprite Packer. http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/SpritePacker.html

I think the sprite packer is pro-only?
i have pro it was just disabled by default, never had a reason to use it
i can get it to work if i pre make the atlas in photoshop but not with separate images already in unity. not really a huge issue as its for UI, i will have another gander at a later date. either way its looking cool
Did you set packing tags on your GUI images?
yh set tags, hence why it worked with multiple import option on the UI drop down option.
Doesnt matter as long as i know theres a way i'll have a better look when i need to, aint got time to muck around as much as i want to lol
