textmesh pro error

    i am new to unity and i found out this error appear and done this * to solve it before but no luck
    *
    1. i go to package manager remove textmeshpro 2. i clear the console 3.i save the unity and quit 4. i reopen it 5. reinstall textmeshpro 6. and the error immediately came back

    Did you import the essentials? AFAIK it is needed for TMP to work properly.

    i click windows but, dont see the TextMeshPro

    As per the image above, the TextMesh Pro package isn't installed / due to the errors is not getting installed.

    What version of Unity are you using?

    If you were to create a new project using the 2D template, do you get the same issue?

    1. yes even in 2d
    2. i'm using the 2018.3 unity

    It appears to be installed correctly. However, something is causing these errors which ultimately prevent TMP from running correctly.

    Let's delete the package cache to see if that might fix the issue. On windows the package cache is located in "Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Unity\cache" so first close Unity and then delete this whole lowercase "cache" folder.

    Then restart Unity which will force all the package to get re-downloaded and let's see if these errors persist.

    Thank for the help, the issue had been fix by delete cache file.

    - solution:
    ---- Windows > Package Manager > TextMesh Pro > REMOVE

    - BUT:
    ---- new to Unity
    ---- do not use TextMesh Pro in my project so far
    ---- re-installing returns the error, so if you need it, you have a SOOL error ($#!7 Out Of Luck)

    What errors are you getting?

    The TextMesh Pro package for Unity 2019.1 requires using .Net 4.x scripting runtime.
