I am not sure if this is a bug or if it is by design, but in my Scene view, I have a canvas that is attached to the camera Render Mode: "Screen Space - Camera". And when I have an aspect ratio selected in the game view, the text is blurry and unreadable in the scene view (Game view it displays fine). When I change my aspect ratio to Free Aspect it fixes the scene view text and it is crisp and smooth.

    Why is this happening?

Edit: This seems to only happen when I have the Scene View and Game View side by side and the Scene View is larger than the Game View.

Also having this problem. Choosing "Free aspect" does not solve the problem. If I resize the Game view to something small, the Scene view becomes blurry. The larger the Game view window, the clearer the Scene view.
Anyone know why this is happening and how to solve it?

This appears to be a bug where Unity is scaling both the scene view text and game view text in editor when "Scale with Screen Size" is selected.

A workaround for the bug right now is to use TextMeshPro instead, as it does not have this scaling problem. A lot of the commands for text are the same as Unity's standard text commands, and the learning curve isn't bad at all.

To fix this issue, you can create a new preset with fixed resolution that fits your desired ratio. For example if you need 16:9 your can create 1920x1080 item. That "trick" worked for me.

@Superior that fixed it for me too. The text was so bad at 16:9 that it was not legible in both scene and game views. I can confirm that this is still happening in 2019.3.0f6 and your trick saved me a lot of aggravation.
