I've been using Unity for the past couple years now but I have always developed for the PC and never for a mobile device. I was wondering if it is possible for me to develop for an IOS device and manually upload it to the device for testing instead of getting a developers license from Apple to test. Are there any tools I can use with Unity 5 for testing as well?

    Thanks in advanced

Unfortunately, that's not something you can do. To run software on iOS devices requires that the program be "signed" with an encryption key that matches the one on the device. Signing up for the Apple developer license gives you a special file to install on the device (a provisioning profile) that lets you install apps that are built using a special key (and requires a Mac computer to install).

I think Apple *did* make it so that you no longer have to pay the licensing fee until you actually want to put your app up for sale.
