Testing Google play games services sample projects

I know that once I create an application in the developer console and try to publish it(I made a test app which got suspended from the very first publishing attempt to alpha and still this now prevents me from deleting the application, despite that it has never been published), there is no going back, it cannot be deleted.

So I'd like to keep the list of apps there relevant to my actual published apps or at least close to it and not adding tens of template projects for testing.

So my question is- "Do I need to create a new application for every single project I'd like to test that uses GPG Services?"
