Terrains and gaps

    Hi all,

I'm having trouble with Terrain objects. I'm trying to build a world from tiles of Digital Elevation Model (see 7z for exports of 4 scaled tiles data) and I can't make unity to bridge the gaps in between some tiles.

In the example displayed above : I've created 4 connected terrains of size 256x256. The heightmap size is 257x257. The terrain height is 5000 as I want the Y scale to be somehow coherent with France min and max height.

I've tried and rewrite with a script the heights value on tile borders (making one tile border equals the other) => A bit of a painful process. It fills almost almost every gaps but produces visible scars on terrain.

    My question :
    * Where can I find more details about the way Unity connects the terrain (algorithm, known limitations, bugs, etc) ?
    * Is there a better way than interpolating with some script the value at terrain borders to try and get something as seamless as possible ?

    Thanks in advance
