Hi, my name is Jay and I'm planning to build a terraria like game for the Japanese gaming market, and found your product.
I was wondering, is there a limited 2D only edition for the terrain engine?
I really don't need all that robust 3D world creation part, and I was wondering if the price would be more reasonable with the limited edition (only if available).
Also, I want to clarify the fact that 2D part is still WIP? (dynamic water movement, etc)
Is there a list of what this engine can do, cannot do, and WIP at the moment for 2D?

    PS.
Just a friendly suggestion, why not make a dedicated website, and list all the available functions there?
This thread is getting long and it is difficult to find information since it's scattered all over the thread.

Just found this on YouTube and was pretty stunned, both by the level of optimisation and functionality of each part of the engine and also by the fact that it covers pretty much all voxel based game types to date :O

Reading the comments about the pricing annoyed me a little, as far as I'm concerned targeting company/professionals is just as valid and when you get to that sort of level the amount of money he is asking for is trivial, especially for dedicated support too. As someone developing games for fun I take this as more of a challenge to make something just as amazing, and I feel that any small indie team who aren't prepared to pay the asking price can always show their skill and knowledge by making it themselves, especially now that it's been proven to be possible C:

I would also second creating a website for your company/terrain engine; it just makes things seem more professional and you can present your videos/media in a more presentable fashion as well as having a goto place for people looking to purchase your product, just my opinion.

Does this have the ability to do spherical terrains for planets?

Add me to that list ...

To all those moaning about price:
The owner of this product can charge what he wants for his work, leave him alone!
If you can get this elsewhere cheaper then go do that!
If it's so easy to build and will only take a short time go build it then sell it on the store cheaper!

A product is only worth what it's target audience is willing to pay, the chances are if you think this is too much you are not in the target audience!

    To dyox,
If you do happen to add functionality that allows me to solve my problem (floating islands) in to your code let me know, I would very much be interested in buying this as I want to rapidly prototype a basic game client and not want to have to worry about the lower levels concepts like marching cubes and dual contouring.

    Also,
I've been working on an MMO server solution that can handle excessive player counts (thousands at one time within visible scene area) which I think would be cool when combined with this!
Networking I can do, graphics not so much lol

Like others I'd love for you to have your own website where I can keep up with all your amazing work. You could also implement a payment system and download manager to automate the entire purchase process for you so that'd remove some manual work from your work load. Can't wait to be using this on my next project (need to finish my current first).

Is there a procedure to convert meshes to voxels?

Is there a way to intercept the chunk generation and insert my own code (so i can add own voxel stuff at runtime) - actually in your cube voxel demo you were generating trees, can i do that on the marching cube side?

I really like the engine, the price is reasonable, I have only some doubts.

    What limitations does it have?

    It supports Skyshop of Marmoset?
