Terrain toolbox split results in broken detail mesh painting

    Unity: 2019.3.7
    Pipeline: HDRP
    Detail Mesh Renderer: Nature Renderer

    issue: After splitting a terrain using the Terrain Toolbox, detail mesh painting no longer works.

    Repro steps:
    1. Create new terrain
    2. Split using terrain toolbox
    3. Add and attempt to pain mesh details

    Now excuse me while I try to find a way to fix this so I didn't waste 2 days of work.
    (Yes, I know it's a preview package, but this is way too broken to be released at any capacity.)

    and of course.... I'm an idiot who didn't realize the detail distance was set down to 0!!!

    Facepalm, but at the same time a big sigh of relief.
