Question Terrain Import into Unity

    Hi
    Can someone explain me how can I import a Bryce terrain export obj (for exemple) as a TERRAIN into Unity.
    thanx for answer.
    I mean a terrain from an external software to be working into Unity as a terrain.
    Also I speak about Bryce,7, but it can be Vue 2023 or etc

    ^ ^ ^ Exactly this. But you can bridge it over as far as the general shape of the OBJ file geometry and turning that into terrain. As CodeSmile says you need to get the heightmap of the geometry and apply it to the terrain.

    I wrote a utility that lets you do this by putting a collider on the OBJ and "Casting" the terrain to it. Here is a video of it in action:



    You would need to roughly match the sizes of the two areas.

    So A intelligent question anyway :
    Is there a FORMAT for terrain (that can be imported, except heighmaps), so except OBJ ? What is the terrain format ?
