Billboard option for terrain details in URP/LWRP doesn't seem to be working.

Attached screenshots show the difference between URP and built-in rendering using 2019.3.0f6. Both screenshots are taken using clean project templates for built-in and URP. Only terrain object has been added to the scene and grass detail added to terrain. Camera or pipeline settings have not been changed.

When using build-in renderer, everything works as expected but in URP the grass disappears when viewed from above.

Is this a bug, intended feature or are there additional steps in project settings to make it work?

The same problem, the grass looks off. Seems weird that this problem is not receiving a fix for such a long time.

Same here, I'm using URP (Unity 2022.1.7f1); I don't know why, but I kinda suspect it's an intended feature.

To solve that issue, I had to create a custom shader, and apply to the model, and then use the Terrail Detail Mesh to place the prefab into the terrain. Since I couldn't find a way to override the Terrain Grass Texture billboard code (to enable the Z-Axis), creating a Custom Shader was the temporary solution :D
