Tamagotchi trademark... suggestions?

    I'm looking for suggestions....

    I'm working on a Tamagotchi-style of game (no scores, instead your goal is to successfully grow/raise something). I really would like to use Tamagotchi in the game's name or maybe use a portion of it (i.e. somthingGotchi), but Tamagotchi is trademarked by Bandai Incorporated. So I am a bit afraid of using the name. I'm trying to come up with alternative names that would have the same recognition effect as Tamagotchi. The only other name that comes to mind is Something-Tycoon, but that might also be a trademark problem... and this won't really be a "tycoon" type of game. Any suggestions?

    i don't really have anything crafty to give you, but you could start with where their name comes from (name origin section):

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamagotchi

    and maybe try some variations adding the "chi" to other japanese words that relate to your particular gameplay.
