so in older unity editor version, if i wanted to zero out a position or change multiple variables in the inspector i was able to do so by selecting the first (X) value, and then just typing 0 [TAB] 0 [TAB] 0 etc

in 2017.2 the tab key still switches to the next value, (the label color changes) but it does not react to input anymore.

so i need to click on every number to change a position? this is awful

is this a bug / known issue / wanted change?

While this is truly a regression, you can achieve similar with this context menu

    true but if i want to set 3 - 4 - 2 or somthing...

i noticed [TAB] [ENTER] does what [TAB] used to do
which is much more inconvenient because i like to have one hand on tab, the other one on the numpad which is fast. now with enter in between its... awful

really would like to know if there was a thought behind this change

Probably just collateral damage due to changes to ui code.

This is a known regession and already fixed in a 2017.2 patch release

Edit: forgot which one, but updating to the latest should work (I am quite sure, I am not on the latest and it is already working again)

No, I mean a patch release for 2017.2 that you would download from the get Unity website.
