There are no tutorials that will teach you how to develop for consoles outside of general purpose tutorials that apply to every platform because the consoles themselves are behind non-disclosure agreements. We're not allowed to publish anything about them.

If you want to read the docs related to developing games for Xbox, you need to become a licensed Xbox developer.

    https://www.xbox.com/en-US/developers/id

After you've done that Microsoft will provide the learning material.

Not necessarily. Can't you do the 'Universal Windows Platform" export and get it onto your Xbox One?
I know ID is really only necessary now days if you want to utilize Xbox Live, and get more premium stature, etc.

But you should still be able to at least get it on it nevertheless. But it is limited from what I've read in terms of memory, etc.

Other than the whole 'Universal Windows Platform' that @N1warhead reminded me exists, there won't be anything covering the platform itself. Once again it's because of the non-disclosure agreement that I mentioned earlier and becoming licensed is an important step for a developer. After all you can't publish anything without that license.

Developing and running on the Xbox One platform is straightforward. Publishing it, and thus making it available for other people to download and play, is an entirely different matter. You can't publish without becoming licensed through either Xbox Live Creators or ID@Xbox.

so it terms of creating a game for Xbox the answer would be simply making it and exporting it to windows platform and then obviously going through the steps to put it onto the Xbox ( I've seen an example of how to do this) and yes I am aware of the license.

Becoming licensed with Xbox Live Creators is significantly easier than ID@Xbox, but it isn't like obtaining the full license is exactly that difficult either. A full license just requires having a legal business and a game in some stage of development.

Just keep in mind the UWP platform has major limitations compared to actual Xbox games.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/xbox-apps/system-resource-allocation

Additionally multiplayer is not supported at all (you can see it mentioned in one of the questions at the bottom).

    https://www.xbox.com/en-US/developers/creators-program/

If these are not a problem for you then have at it. :)

oh right, so it terms of any kind of Multiplayer game being created,

lets say I created one through unity right? would i then have to speak to the Microsoft creators program?? sorry i seem to be asking a few questions, it is just when i see these videos on YouTube on how to export a fully functioning game with multiplayer support to xbox made in unity it seems to easy, yet from what you are saying these people are all wrong?

thank you so far by the way for the information you have been providing me.
(additionally this is all down for my self wondering if i take the unity course for swords and shovels would it additionally allow me to game the game for xbox rather than pc)
