    Swing from platform to platform. Simply tap the screen when the rope is long enough to reach the next platform. How long can you survive?

    Features:

    Update 1.2:

    - Add a new "Revive" button which let players to continue their game by spending gems and set a better high-score.
    - Fixed the occasional bug with the player collision detection

    A customer asked:

    We did not used any rope system. It's all about line rendering + rotation vectors, so you literally have no problem at all integrating your own rope system. Because the underlying system that manages the rotation is separate from the design.

    And yes, the game is fully in 3d, but the camera is set to orthographic projection, so the result seems 2d. But you can use any 3d model alongside 2d textures (and sprites) on a flat cube, to simulate the 2.5d feel.

    This looks like an nice kit, however it seems that it has already been re-skinned and publish on app store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ketchapp.swing&hl=en).

    It seems that this publisher does very quick changes of kits available on Unity asset store and publish games very quickly on the app store. This makes it difficult for other customers who purchase the kit to make changes and publish a similar game.

    If the author of the kit is the publisher of the above game then I understand completely. I am new to mobile games and was just curious on how these things work.

    That's a false statement. If you switch any project (even a blank one) to Android, and hit the build button, your final APK will automatically asks for "full network access" upon install.

    Also, when you use platform-specific methods like "Screen.sleepTimeout" to avoid device going to sleep, it will automatically add the "call identity" permission. It's a common permission and nothing you need to worry about. Look at these discussions for more details:

    Thanks for the kind words. But we are not the developer of the original title published by ketchapp. We developed the new kit and tried to clone the original title for those interested in the mechanics, and wants to learn how to design a similar game from ground up.

    There are also so many kits on the Asset stroe which are direct clones of other titles on google play or app store. We believe we are helping young developers get a better understanding on the underlying of such popular titles and learn how to make a similar one.

    Thanks a lot for the explanation, that makes a lot of sense now. I never realized it was the other way around :), I always thought the kits were used to make the games. In case you have any vouchers left would like to see how easy it is to create games from the kits.

    Instructions to make the kit completely endless:

    In "PlatformMover" class, find in lines 27~29:

    Code (CSharp):
    1. targetPosition = new Vector2(Random.Range (0.25f, 2.5f) + (GameController.platformCreated * 0.05f),
    2.                                      Random.Range (-4.5f, -5.0f));
    replace with:

    Code (CSharp):
    1. targetPosition = new Vector2(Random.Range (0.25f, 2.5f), Random.Range (-4.5f, -5.0f));
    And you're done.

    Like the look of the kit and the gameplay it offers, what is the point of collecting the diamonds however? Are you planning an update to use the diamonds collected as currency to unlock different characters maybe?

    You are absolutely right. That's the whole purpose of having diamonds. we will add this feature in the next update.

    hi there, there is a weird bug when i build the game. platform doesnt matter, android, windows, linux. they all act like in this video:


    any ideas why this could happen ?

    unity 5.5.0f3 64 bit dx11
    windows 10

    Hi there,

    Try to build with Unity 5.3.4.
    The kit is not compatible with Unity 5.4+. We are working to release the new version which is compatible with Unity 5.4+.

    Also make sure to set the orientation to Portrait, not landscape.

    The app runs smoothly on Android however when I build a version for iOS apps but do not run.
    Note: I use Unity v5.5

    Hi there. The kit is not compatible with Unity 5.5. Please make the build from Unity 5.3.4 as recommended.

    P.S: We will update the kit to be compatible with Unity 5.5+ very soon.

    V1.4:
    - The game has been completely reworked and now works on normal X-Y axis. Sorry for any inconvenience the old X-Z axis system might have caused.
    - The game is now compatible with Unity 2018.
