Hey, im new to Unity3d and been using personal edition for a few days now and created a terrain.. i call it a terrain because im not the best at designing because all the bushes and trees are paid and i havent got the money to be buying them. My question is however, how can i make a game you can build houses and stuff? i mean in the sense that your running around in first person with an axe and you can cut down a tree for logs and then collect the logs, bring them wherever your going to build and build a house or whatever it is.
i want it to be a game like "The Forest" (for PS4) without the zombies and the like. just the building and tree cutting.

ive also made a character in MakeHuman but cant get it into my Unity3d 'World' any help?

    thanks in advance,
    Steve

    Hey SurvivorSteve,

Don't be discouraged! You are just beginning. Lots of useful guides out there to walk you through some of what you described.

    Try this link:

Also consider poking around the asset store to see what is available. Many great no cost assets on there.

Check the asset store. I know there are some free bushes and also, there is a free Speedtree pack with a few trees. Good luck!
