I suddenly realized my laptop was full -- with the average SSD being 128gb (99gb for me) to 256 (realistically about 200), it eats up storage fast.

Sure I could put it on my 3TB data drive, but non-SSD? Who wants to do that :)

Not a big deal, but just something to keep in mind if it can be done fast.

I thought it did already for the current one inside the Unity folder.

For release? It already does this.
For beta? It does not (default creates a new folder with the version name).

Since you guys are in the beta forums, if running out of space on your ssd and upgrade beta versions often, now you know why ;D
