Suggestion: Hide threads in New Posts

When coming to forums, I regularly click on New Posts to stay in touch. I'd like to have a possibility to hide some threads, that I am for sure not interested in, and that way lower the clutter. Of course, there should be an option in Profile Settings to unhide them later. Is this possible to implement?

 

Due to the nature of how "New Posts" works, I don't think we currently have a way to impliment this. I'd like to push the forums to make your experience more catered to the individual, and when we working on that we will let the community know!

As a follow up question -

Would the ability to only show certain areas of focus make more sense then hiding specific threads? Say, you would be able to go to "New Posts" and see all of the posts in General, Graphics, 2019.1 beta, for example.

Just make it so we can exclude certain sections (for example General and Asset Store) from New Posts. If I only really care about a couple of sections, I can visit manually or put the section in my watch list.
