I constantly find myself going back and forth in my Assets to select a "previously selected" item all the time. If I could instead use the back and forwards mouse buttons to accomplish this, it would be a huge boon for my workflow.

I know Ctrl-Z can cycle through previously selected things, but I don't want to undo values, I just want to go back and forwards between selected things in the Editor.

    Thanks for reading!

Yeah this something that I get reminded of constantly while using unity, I've grown used to using forward and back buttons on almost every app I use, but when I switch to unity it just feels uncomfortable to always go and press somewhere to go to a previous folder.
I really hope unity adds this QOL feature.

Visual Studio has it and it's very helpful.

Also, bumping for hope on this :)

    One more bump from me!

It seems like a small and trivial thing, but it really effects you many times a day and just creates this annoying bump in reaching a nice flow state. Would love to see this feature <3

    My twist on it sepecifically:
Going into a folder in the Project tree and wanting go "back up" with the mouse button for "back".

Why does this not exist yet. It's common in OS's to add back and forward navigation to any sort of file manager.
