Here is a work in progress of a house prefab, it's also using a new alternate roof:

there should be a double door instead of just wood plank in the arch around the middle.

It shows a more complex structure that you can do with a bit of work and time :)

I absolutely love stylized stuff, so I'm definitely interested. You did mention there are others out there on the store, but I think 2 big things you have going for you are modularity (every other one I have seen is a set of prefabs of prebuilt structures and that's it) and Substances.

What all are you aiming to include in this pack, and are you likely to continue with addons / related packs with the same art style?

Hey thanks, i have some more stuff in my "todo" list such as a well and wood sign for shops. The pack mostly focus on the house part but i may add a few other props from time to time like i did with the barrel. I will try to add other house prefabs which also help me finding new piece to add for house building.

I plan to make other similar style pack so they can fit with this one.

Pack that could come later on could be, "market", "graveyard", "dungeon". I could also create some more specific pack to make different type of villages (farm, viking, bandit camps, abandonned/destroyed village, castle, elf village....)

Another possible one would be interiors.

There is an infinite possibilities not only for villages but making many kind of dungeons with different themes (imagine modular packs to create dungeons similar to those in WOW but with this style)

In any case i will try to stay around medieval fantasy for a while so they complement each others.

I'd like to gather some feedback from this pack so i can make the next one better :)

Honestly it also depends on how well this one will do, like if i don't do any sell it might be harder to continue :p
I have no idea what to expect from the store, but hopefully it will be fine.

So if you buy it don't hesitate to share and leave a review as it will help me a lot to keep going while being able to eat :)

Glad to hear you at least have plans for possible future expansions. I've seen some sweet packs before but the developer didn't have plans to continue on with any complimenting packs regardless of how well it did, so I end up passing on it. I do get that at the end of the day though what puts food on the table is what matters.

I love modularity, stylized and substance so looking forward to all that you have in store :)

When you said farm, I just had to make a shout out about a wheat asset.

There's really no good wheat asset out that isn't a shader or a grass addon.

So here's to hopefully one day being able to add my wheat farms to my projects.

Pretty much that, but in a larger patch, all the ones out now are apart of a already fenced prefab or a single strand of wheat in the form of noninteractable grass.

Maybe a decent sized patch, with a version that looks cut?

    Thanks :p

I'm working on a game project too where i used this package, here is a WIP area in an environment that also use various other assets:

I also use it to build some other stuff outside of houses:

The game is Rogue Fantasy and there is a lot to do but we have a free small alpha demo available for those interested to help giving feedback and bugs report and share it around :p

The project is already greenlit so could go early access anytime but we are waiting to have something more complete :)

So i finally got an answer, i can't include the standard asset package which i use in the demo scene so they suggest to add instruction in the README file. It was possible before but apparently they don't allow it anymore.

So here is the instructions that will be in the README:
At the date of my submission Unity does not allow to include standard assets in the package.
In order to correctly view the demo scenes you will need to have some of the standard assets, those steps are not necessary if you just want to start using the assets.

    1. Download the "Standard Assets for Unity 4.6" and import the following files/folders (NOTE: you can skip this step if you want to use your own day/night skybox, you will have to set it up correctly inside the "lighting" window):
    -Standard Assets\Environment\Skyboxes\Materials\SkyMoonShine.mat
    -Standard Assets\Environment\Skyboxes\Materials\SkySunny02.mat
    -Standard Assets\Environment\Skyboxes\Textures\MoonShine
    -Standard Assets\Environment\Skyboxes\Textures\Sunny02

    2. Download the "Standard Assets" and import the following folders:
    -Standard Assets\Environment\Water
    -Standard Assets\Editor\Water\Water4
    -Standard Assets\Prototyping

    3. Download and import the "Post Processing Stack" package.

All those package are available on the store inside "Unity Essentials".

You may notice missing scripts on the Gameobject "Ocean>Water4Advanced", if you followed the previous step, just close and re-open unity and it should be fixed.
Build the lightmaps and you should be able to play the scenes with the "flycam".

If your water doesn't look right (for example too bright inside the night scene), try to activate the script "Planar Reflection" on the Gameobject "Ocean>Water4Advanced". It should instantly look better you can disable it again or leave it enable at the cost of some reduce framerate.

Sorry about that but for moment i don't see another solution to make the demo scenes look correct without those assets :/

That's understandable. I know there has been some push back against allowing the Standard Assets as not every creator supplies the most up to date version. This leads to weird conflicts when trying to import new packages off the store, so it seems to be in everyone's best interest to just provide everything minus the assets and then let the end user update the standard assets as necessary.
