Stumbled about new animation SW

    Hi,

    today I stumbled about a new piece of software that focuses "only" on rigging, skinning and animation.
    It is still in beta, but so far feels quite stable already (for the few tests I did)

    I only had time to watch their tutorials and played around a little bit with the beta (mainly with the FBX importer to see whether it chokes up on my existing files; they worked well)

    From my point of view it would only need animation retargeting and the mixer should also provide an ADD mode (currently a layer seems to only be able to override a lower layer).

    At the currently offered price tag it is even hobby developer friendly :)

    All in all it looks very promising!

    This looks interesting. $80 for an Indie license (Company/Entity must make less than 200k/year), $280 for the pro, both fully featured. If anyone else has used this, please post your experience/recommendation!

    I'd be interested in the opinion of a seasoned animator on how it compares with other options, as well the opinion of an animation "freshman" on how easy it is to start leaning how to animate with.

    My name is Aurélien Charrier. I'm CEO at nukeygara. We are making akeytsu !
    akeytsu is very different from other softwares.
    We do only animation and rig ! It is fast (really) and easy (really) !
    We made a video tutorial series composed of 17 short videos (1h30 at total) covering all the workflow.
    akeytsu is the perfect anim/rig tool for Unity.
    Beta is free !

    Ahh, I saw the free beta thing but I didn't see anything on the license page so was a little confused. Thanks for clearing that up! Going to take some time out of my current project to give this software a go. I'll let you all know (as an inexperienced animator) how it goes!

    We really want to make 3D animation easier. akeytsu should be the perfect tool for you (as inexperienced animator)!
