Is anyone else having issues getting past the "Checking license" screen?

My license and internet connection 'should' be fine since I have no problem launching previous versions of Unity (including 2017.1.0b7). I logged out and back in but it made no difference.

    Thanks!

If you do my account and then sign out, you should be able to restart unity and have it startup correctly. It seems like you have to do this each time though :(

Yep, thanks, that workaround seems to be doing the trick... but having to do it overtime could get old :)
It seems like Unity is looking into it, fingers crossed.

Mystery solved! It was a license issue on my end... we moved from a perpetual license (5.x) to subscription and merged some accounts at the same time (just to make things more complicated), which resulted in me never getting the updated license, even though it was assigned.

So user error to some extent, but it could have been avoided if Unity displayed the actual license key on the dashboard :)

Thanks to Unity tech support for getting to the bottom of this.
