    Hi there.
We were streaming Yu Tube videos and everything was working. Now they don't work any more, looks like terms and conditions mean you are not allowed to stream outside of the You Tube platform.
Does anybody know if we are allowed to stream Vimeo or even from Google Drive?

If I stream from my own website doesn't that mean a hell of a lot of traffic I would have to pay for?

    You might try GitHub.

You might also want to make sure you have the rights to stream those videos, regardless of where they're hosted.

Thanks I will check them out. The videos are mine, educational.
You Tube says we shouldn't use them as a CDN (Content distribution network) - OK
    Google Drive neither.

Vimeo: I can't see that anywhere in their terms and conditions but I will write to them anyway.
Github: I will check em out but I can't see why they would be any different to You Tube and Drive.

    Vimeo
40 euros a month for 7TB total storage.
Unlimited bandwidth (subject to fair use). Wow!
Ah - and yes, you can use the videos in third-party mobile apps, websites etc...

Seems to be the best option and the cheapest. Other CDN platforms charge from 150 dollars upwards.

Happy days! I can get all my videos back into my CLMS. I hated putting my educational stuff on You Tube anyway.
