Hello everyone interested in knowing can the following be achieved with unity3d engine :-

    https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=R...392.16527284.1599735002-1222177822.1599735002

If i do it for webgl application , the similar model and texture sizes jolt to some 65mb build size, which takes some time to load , and a gap to load the plugin and render.

Is it possible to attain the same loading speed with unity3d as in the url, for just model and first person camera ?

Yes there are a couple of streaming services such as Furioous, Pureweb you can utilize or you can spin off a VM and write a utility to stream with help webrtc as well as take user inputs.

Just to be clear, what you sent is a Matterport link and that is nothing to do with Unity. The tech they use is also not available in unity (they combine images taken around the site with a special camera that they make, with scanned 3d models and then an algorithm creates the "good" views that act as hotspots).

So saying the same can be achieved in unity is incorrect, you can have a 3D model of the same space but it will be fundamentally different in many ways.

Yes you can use pixel streaming to view a HQ model, but just want to point out for any people coming here expecting a MatterPort style solution, that this will be very very different.

The way to see the model as intended is to use webXR but... there is no Unity browser supported that
