Strange non-blended gradient lines

    The issue is it makes for very poor visuals.
    I'll attach a screen shot with indicators of were the lines are so you can see where I see them.
    The reason for doing this is my theory that it may just be my monitor and its poor quality.
    But the fact that i can scale the screenshot and the lines scale with it make me think it isn't the monitor.

    Monitor: samsung S22B300
    Unity Settings: default

    You can't really do anything about it considering that's a limitation of 8-bit color. For example, one of the dark color bands is RGB 20,15,12, and the adjacent one is RGB 20,16,13, making it impossible for there to be any "in-beween" colors. Maybe someday 10-bit color will be commonly used and visible color banding will be a thing of the past.

    Okay so it's normal?
    I'm going to assume it only happens when light is introduced to dark objects?
