Hey, so ever since I upgraded my Unity to "2020.1.0a18.2166" to use an asset (Space Combat Kit) the lighting in all of my scnes became much brighter so i have manually halved all of their Intensity settings, but i came across another issue on a scene that has 3 ice walls and an ice floor. But for some reason the ice walls flash between being black, dark blue and normal.

I've tried messing with a ton of settings and i can't figure anything out :( I feel like it's something to do with project settings or the graphics.

Moving the camera/view about causing strange things to happen also:

If there's no simple fix, then i will just avoid the problem and replace the walls with something else, this level used to look nice though before the upgrade feelsbadman.

Is the ice wall thickness zero or near-zero? Doing that to make a cube thin (for example) can cause this issue.

This is the shader settings, i don't really understand them though so i'll post a picture upload_2021-8-8_17-38-17.png

Seems like it works if i delete the walls and just use a cube instead of what i was using before, the walls do look lame though, but it works.
Screw it imma just go back to using normal walls without the ice shader, there are certain ice walls (facing towards the camera) that actually work, so i will just use normal walls on the sides, and keep the middle icy like a freezer. I think this ice shader is just dodgy from the side angle, something in the upgrade made it worse though.
Also the ice walls on the side cause a massive decrease in performance so it will the level good to get rid of it i guess.

Interesting... see that bottom texture, the one called _InnerRamp? To test your problem, what if you replace that with all white? And what if you replace it with a white-to-black gradient going from left to right, without that extra narrow black area on the left? I wonder if it's using that for some low-angle-of-view effect, since you say face-on walls look ok.

Idk how to do the gradiant thing, but replacing it with a full white texture didn't work. It seems like the issue gets worse n worse with the further i scale/stretch it. So i'd have to copy/paste a lot of small walls and join them, but then it's ice, so u will see corners of the wall next it through the ice effect and looks ugly >.>

Also don't worry about it, i've deleted the walls and used some from another level instead, i actually prefer this new look also. The ice also caused my hologram to visually appear behind the ice sometimes also strangely.
