Everything worked fine, I did not change anything. Today I threw a new model and it broke. When importing, the mobel is transparent, and when applying a texture, it is black.

So the issue is with this particular model? What type of material do you have set to it inside Maya. Possibly doesn't have a comparable type in Unity. Also, maybe normal Orientation issue? Those would be my first 2 guesses.

The problem is that some objects work fine and some do not. I fixed this problem by repackaging the UV in 3D Coat.
It was unpleasant, much had to be redone. Then I continued to model and deploy UV in Maya. The problem repeated today. Pepepacking will be disastrous for me.
Material created in Unity. Generally I use atlas. I have about 50 models on one atlas, and for some reason, some models break.
