Stop Hierarchy auto focus

I wonder is there a way to disable Hierarchy auto focus.

Whenever you click on something from the scene view it automatically focuses on the Hierarchy view as well, after a few clicks it totally depositories any collapsing organization in the hierarchy view, and this is very redundant as there is the "F" hot key to instantly manual focus if needed.

Anyway to disable this behavior?..

 

For example if you have a 3D character model imported to the scene, when I select it from the scene it of often focus on one of the bone or component of that model, auto focusing / expanding all grouping in the Hierarchy view. This is disastrous, now if I want to select something else from the Hierarchy view I have to scroll and scrooooool...
This happens every time i click on the model from scene view, very counter productive.

 

Bumping this thread from the grave. It's been seven years and still no way to turn off auto focusing in hierarchy??
