With the 2017.2 beta release, it mentioned:

    • Asset Import: Added support for Stingray material import from FBX.
Does this mean that If I export a project with a Stingray shader from Maya, the material will import and work in Unity?

Since ShaderFX is also related to Stingray, will ShaderFX shaders work on Unity from direct Maya import now?

I just need to information about this to know what exactly this means.

Yes, your StingrayPBS material should be imported correctly in Unity as a Standard ( Roughness Setup ) material with matching values and maps. However the graph itself cannot be imported so modifications to the original StingrayPBS graph in ShaderFX won't work.
