Steam VR forces itself on.

Hi.

I'm often working on my laptop without a headset. For that reason I'd usually close steam VR self launch after starting Unity but since a recent update, it now restarts anytime I click "play". This is an issue because my computer heats up a lot for nothing which is both bad for the hardware and uncomfortable to work with.

Anybody have some similar experience? I was hoping there would be an option somewhere to deactivate it but I don't know where to start.

This seems to be related to steam VR more than Unity since it does it on 2017.x which didn't happen before.

If you look under Player, try removing the openvr sdk?
