Question State comes from an incompatible keyword space spam

Does anyone have any idea what causes the huge amount of spam saying "State comes from an incompatible keyword space" as an error, over and over? I get it 38 times just on startup with more added as I edit.

There's no info and no stack trace to help you resolve it. A bug relating to the issue was closed as falsely 'not reproducible' even though multiple people have reproduced it in every recent version. It has affected me in versions 2021.3.7f1, 2021.3.8f1 and 2021.3.9f1.

Does anyone know if this is associated with a particular asset? or shader? is it the editor itself?

 

Never seen it, and don't know exactly what would cause it, but have you tried setting your stack trace to detailed mode? Then you might be able to see what internal system is causing it.

 

I haven't. I had never heard of detailed mode, I'll try it

 

I get it too, right when the Unity project opens it dumps a few into the log.
