Hello everyone, as the titles says, I am done with my university and I will be going to Japan for game developing course.
But I have 6 months for me to learn something, hence I have decided to learn some basics how to make a game.

Before I start, I would like to know where should I start first? My friend recommended me to learn using Stencyl, and other friend recommend me to go Unity straight.

With no coding experience, which one should I go ? Should I learn some coding first? If yes, which language should I go first?

I'd just batter on with Unity. You don't need much coding experience to run with the tutorials. Might be worth you buying a reference book to read over game design, which may help answer questions in your mind. Good luck!

I'd also suggest diving in straight away. Do some tutorials for a while (the Learn section is a decent starting place and obviously there's a lot more out there).

One piece of advice I'd give though is don't just do tutorial after tutorial after tutorial. Become comfortable with the software and basics of coding and then give yourself your own small (very small!) project to tackle. Make sure it includes some bits you're not 100% sure about and learn more about them in the process. It can become tempting to stay in the tutorial loop but you're ultimately not doing your own thing.

    Good luck!

I'd also suggest diving into Unity first.
Here's a simple checklist for you to follow,
    1. Learn some basic C#. Preferably up to chapter 4 in C# in a Nutshell by Ben & Joseph Albahari. A good book. Link here / You can watch the C# tutorials from Unity youtube channel too. They're great. Check them here.
    2. If you're now moderately familiar with C# syntax, then go for these complete tutorials from the Learn section of Unity3D website. I completed them first in this order,
      • Roll a ball
      • Space Shooter
      • Survival Shooter
      • 2D Rouge Like
      • When you feel you got a pretty light grip on unity, move on to the Procedural Cave Generation.
    3. By now you will have a strong understanding of Unity, I hope. And Documentation is your friend! :p
The thing is, start from now!
You will find yourself making games in no time! ;)
    GOOD LUCK! :D
