    Version 1.5 of StarFlite Space Starter Toolkit has been released.

    The normal price is $60, currently only $5.00 for the next week.

    Hey everyone! I'd like to announce the release of StarFlite Space Starter Toolkit v1.0 asset package.

    StarFlite's Current Feature List:
    - Full mission-based gameplay mechanics (movement, physics, obstacle spawning, story dialogue, etc.)
    - Easy to use manager scripts in C#
    - Easily add new mission types, starship types, obstacles, etc.
    - Randomized "Area" Manager allows for creation of zone for players to conquer
    - Pre-built mission "The Planet Killer" demo scene included

    The StarFlite Webplayer Demo is included in the package as a demo scene.

    Coming soon in version 1.2:

    - Player Starship Selection Screen
    - Pooling System for Obstacles
    - Credit Currency System for Mission Rewards and purchases like new starships etc.

    What else would you all like to see in StarFlite?

    make sure to make it so the player is always around 0,0 coordinates and it is everything else that scrolls past the player area... (avoid the floating point issues of ending up too far away from the centre of the world)...

    That is already taken care of from the beginning. StarFlite is built as such the player never moves from the 0,0 area. Objects are spawned and move across the screen. Thanks for the input! I appreciate it.

    Do you have estimate (ETA) for Ver 1.2.. and for those features you mentioned in the showcase thread about forward backwards movement, shooting, etc...

    I'm working on a new mission template that will be a shooting version. In that template I'm adding in forward and backward movement. I'm hoping to have it submitted for approval by sometimes next week.

    Thanks for the question! Let me know if you have any more.

    Anyone want StarFlite to have a 2D mode, where all assets are 2D? It would still have 2.5D just add in the ability to have 2D games.

    I know I would find it great to have both option, 2.5D and 2D. it makes your kit even more versatile for a wider range of projects. Yes for me.

    StarFlite v2.0 is a massive update to the overall StarFlite kit, I'm currently about 50% completed with the updated. I am hoping to have it submitted to Unity for approval sometime later this week.

    I am also adding in a basic store for using credits in-game to buy upgrades and starships etc. Screenshots of that soon...

    Looking really cool, is there a video somewhere (scratch that I can see the demo on the asset store page)? Are their enemies and movement patterns? Any chance your attacks could support BulletML?

    How is performance on mobile devices? Do you have heap allocation profile? Is the UI Unity GUI?

    Are levels constructed or endless?

    PS Sorry for all the questions, I was toying with some ideas for a similar style game, and I'd rather save the time by purchasing a kit :)

    I am working on putting in enemies and basic AI for them with attacks etc over the next few days, those will be in V2.0. I'm not sure what BulletML is do you have a link to it or something? The GUI uses the free version of NGUI, I highly recommend it as it really lowers draw calls overall. It works great on my Andriod tablet. I don't have any MAC devices or computers so not sure its performance on iOS.

    The levels are all randomized (The obstacle zones) the planet area is set due to the way the game is built. Each mission can be laid out however you like. I might put in an endless mode, kind of like a survival mode, but we shall see how far I get after putting in the combat stuff.

    I'm also planning on adding a new mission type which is sorta a planetary invasion defense type mission.

    The pack seems lovely, i bought it just in case :), i like the complete solutions that offer a game with all menus etc and this seems to come close to the ideal pack, at least for its genre

    With your sets and your InfinityXTile Engine I would have liked to see you make a RTS or even a multi-player RTS. Do you plan on making a kit for this type of game?

    This kit is nice but has very little documentation. I would like to see V2 but also we need at least a better PDF file first.
