    Hi everybody,

I am trying to get two texture sets up on the asset store. I've uploaded both packages on April 2nd/3rd. It took over two weeks till somebody at the asset store team reviewed the packages - and rejected them (after another week and a lot of mails). The reason was - from the original mail:

We understand there are other assets with Standard Assets, however our submission guidelines do change over time and currently they prohibit Standard Assets as stated within 3.1.e:
"To avoid inconsistencies during importing, Do not include “Standard Assets” folder in your submission. If you have a demo scene that utilizes any “Standard Assets”, include documentation as to how you setup your scene and allow for the user to import the “Standard Assets” themselves."

I have demo scenes which require the "Character Controllers" asset from the standard assets. If I remove the asset the demo scenes are broken of course. The asset store team advised me to put a note in the readme file that the missing asset has to be imported for the demo scenes to work.

    My questions to you:
    1. How do you put the packages on the asset store?
    2. Do you remove all standard assets from the package?
    3. Do you get mails from customers that don't read the readme file and complain about broken demo scenes?
    4. What do you do with shared parts of packages? Since you have to put every part of a package below the root folder, it's close to impossible to use shared (between packages) folders that are outside the root folder which leads to copying a lot of folders before submitting a package. (That's one of the important differences btw between the "export package" function in the editor and the asset store tools exporting...)

Best regards and thanks in advance!

Hi, I'd like to know the exact same things.

Günther, any conclusions on this since 2017? :)

No, nothing new. In the meanwhile I do not use the standard assets in my store packages and therefore don't have to care about it anymore...
