I am new to the Unity world of games. I cannot find Standard Assets (Mobile) anywhere on Unity 5 like on the tutorial I watched. Is this the only way to make mobile games? If so, please let me know where to find it. If not, please show me another way, or show me where to find it. Thank you, I would be really appreciated!

You don't need the standard assets to make anything. They exist primarily for tutorials with some limited use as starting points (especially the character controllers).

So, how would I start making mobile games without the standard assets?

If you go through the tutorials, at least the few beginner ones I looked at, they show you how to code from scratch. Try to grasp the concepts, the rest will come.

If you need artwork, you can get them from the unity Asset Store.

Can you link a few of those below please? I tried looking through the tutorials and all the ones I seen had used the standard assets. Thanks
