StandaloneWindows64 with device Direct3D11 is not supported

    This is probably nothing to do with the Beta so please excuse my complete ignorance.

    Just trying to get Unity 2018.3.0b7 HDRP going on my ol' HP z800 with quadro 3800 but getting this error:

    "Platform StandaloneWindows64 with device Direct3D11 is not supported, no rendering will occur"

    which results in... nothing rendered of course. I've updated drivers on the quadro and checked dx11 in Maya but obviously something's missing in the puzzle. Scouring the internet for the error just gives me someone else who's asked the question and gotten no answers.
    Any urgent help much appreciated. I'm suspecting the video card isn't up to it but I can't find anything to suggest this...
