Standalone Build only runs if we make it using Unity 2017

    Good morning,

    we're having some issues with a client that can't run our app in their end. After many many tries we've realised that they can run any build made with Unity 2017, but it won't run if the same build is made with >= Unity 2018.

    We've tried with empty projects as well as with our custom project. Multiple player settings configurations... the only variable that affects the result is the Unity version (2017). We both use Windows 10 PRO.

    What they see in their end is a spinning circle and no log is generated.

    It works just fine in our end regardless of the Unity version. Other clients don't have issues as well.

    We've run out of ideas. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

    You're not being clear what the issue is. I'd start with looking at the logs.

    I don't know what else to say to clarify it. I think they issue is pretty clear:
    - if we build ANY project on v2017, even an empty one, our client can run the build as normal.
    - if we build it on v2018 it won't run. When they try it all they can see is a spinning circle and no log gets generated.

    I'm just looking for potential reasons, as this is a very isolated issue we can't reproduce. Maybe someone had the same issue before and can help us out. Thanks!

    Did you take a look at the logs though?
