Feedback SSAO should not be enabled on balanced URP preset

    With the URP template in 2021+ SSAO is enabled by default on the balanced preset. For PC games (high quality), this is very logical, as it looks amazing. For mobile devices (balanced), this is terrible. Only the high end devices can run it, and VR games or lower end devices cannot use it at all and it will cause terrible performance.

    On the forums/discord/in person I see a lot of people complain about performance, and over 50% the issue is SSAO being on for android by default. The default should work good on most devices, so I request that SSAO will only be enabled on the high quality preset

    Hey again! Your point about SSAO's effect on mobile and VR performance is absolutely valid! We will conduct an in-depth analysis and consider implementing your suggestion to enable SSAO only on the high-quality preset. Thanks for your valuable input, and please feel free to reach out if you have any more suggestions.

    Actually official should provide best low, medium, high graphics settings preset specifically tune for every platform that supported by URP. Basically each platform has 3 graphics setting presets are battle tested and run with high performance
