    Released on Unity Asset Store !!!

    Sun Shafts SRP Beta




    WIP on HDRP and LWRP image effects for Sky Master, this will release as a separate asset as well.

    It is based on the default Sun shafts effect of Unity.

    The new system interacts with the new volume effects in HDRP

    Note that Sky Master ULTIMATE users will have access to the module in Google Drive download, just send me a PM with invoice and will send the latest version for use.

    I will post when is fully ready in the sky Master ULTIMATE forums (but if need the current Beta, can also send, it already works great :) )

    The Sun Shafts image effect (Sun Shafts SRP Beta) for post processing Stack v2.0 has been released.

    Also a free voucher to celebrate the release of Sun Shafts SRP Beta asset !!! :).

    The effect works for all Unity versions and platforms that support the Post Processing Stack v2.0 and has been tested on Desktop and Android. Also works directly with Sky Master ULTIMATE volumetric clouds.

    Hi Kamil,

    I have not tested with complex scene on mobile, effect is pretty simple though and uses already created textures in the stack, i will do some tests to check performance and get back.

    If you missed the free voucher i could send the pack on google drive to test it first if u want in your case.

    UPDATE:

    Global fog effect is now also working in LWRP and will be added as bonus to the system. Also perhaps i can combine the two effects for extra performance on mobile, this is TBD.

    Volumetric Fog for LWRP (Stack v2.0) is almost done, with added noise, height fog and in next version i plan to add a gradient coloration option, local lights, atmospheric scattering and integration with the light shafts in one shader (TBD if possible)

    UPDATE:

    The system uses a very cheap noise method to produce the noise result, i have just finalized making it stable at movement and the cost of it is minimal, for maximum performance of the effect.

    I will post a video with the result soon.

    UPDATE:

    SRP Sun Shafts v1.1 has been submitted to Unity asset store.


    v1.1 addresses an issue where an error was produced when building for mobile, this is issue is fixed in v1.1.

    UPDATE:

    I have managed to get the base of the effect working without the Image effect stack v2.0, in LWRP using a custom forward renderer, so that option will soon be available for use in Unity 2019.3 with URP, where the stack is no longer working.

    I will update when the package is sent to the store for review.

    UPDATE:

    I have now finished the version for the URP platform new to Unity 2019.3, this works by assigning a custom forward renderer to the pipeline, as in the latest LWRP samples Unity provides and will be released as new option to the system soon.
