Feedback SRP feature vs HDRP/URP/Custom

    It seems to me the place where features are added is currently ill-contrived but could be addressed with some planning, to make Unity a much better engine than it is, while reducing the overall amount of work staff has to do while increasing the value of custom RPs.

    To do this Unity will have to move features they initially make for HDRP into a general SRP Graphics namespace and connect to that instead.

    For example all pipelines can benefit from:
    • DXR implementation (not just raw DXR) - reflections, GI etc
    • DLSS / FSR / Other upscale
    Currently people doing custom pipelines or using URP feel a (rightful) stab of loathing toward HDRP which they can't actually use for reasons such as the fact their current SRP is custom or they use URP.

    Also it's daft for Unity staff to keep redoing work that's already been done.
