Sprites not rendering in Scene View

Hi guys, I'm trying to learn Unity but ran into a bit a problem at the very start. My sprites are not rendering in the Scene view and in order for it to show in the Game view, I have to rotate it. Can anyone help me out? I have tried opening a new project but I still can't see any of my sprites. I already tried reinstalling Unity several times but it still hasn't fixed my problem.

I fixed the sprite showing correctly in the game view, however in the Scene View the sprite is still invisible, all I see is the square outline.

 

Hi all, I managed to solve the problem.

My first problem was the camera was at the same z height as the sprite, so it was not showing up in Game View. My second problem was the default layer was hidden and the sprite was on the default layer. My 3rd problem was the scene view was in Wire-frame mode, which apparently doesn't show the sprite. I changed it to Shaded Wire-frame and now I can see the sprite in the Scene View.
