Sprited-Default shader change (2-texture atlasing shader)

    I'm a little confused...

    I want to use all features of 2D sprites like atlasing, but I want to use my own shader for the sprite, is it possible?

    What I want is to make normal-map lighting on my 2D sprite. So, I need my own shader and 2 texture support (with atlasing). Is it possible or I just have to fall back to some side tools as before 4.3?

    I don't have an answer, but I have a pretty similar question. What would help us both, I think, is the source code for the Sprites/Default shader. I could not find it in the unity application folder.
