Sprite Transitions to Beginning of Next Sprite

    I am trying to transition between two nearly identical animated sprites (one has been tinted blue). Here is the transition in the Animator Inspector... The "floaty" movement is baked into the sprite frames:



    But when I play this in game, there is an obvious jump between the two animations, as if they are not playing in sync at all:



    It definitely looks like the second sprite's animation is starting over every time it transitions, when sometimes it should be transitioning into the middle of the animation. Why would the inspector show different behavior than in the game?
