Bug Sprite selector missing scale handle?

Hello we have a slight problem in new unity 2020,
if i invoke a sprite selection window, like for picking image for Image component and search something in the search box the scale handle just disappears. But not always as shown in the screenshot, for some phrases it just work, but mostly not. Its really frustrating because we have a lot of assets and images named similarly, and when searching it is real pain to click on each to display it in preview.



it has been doing this i every release 2020.3 (2020.3.0 - current 2020.3.9) and i have not seen anybody talking about this. It happened to me on several projects, on totally clear projects too, on more than 5 windows machines, through the company and also personal PCs.

So is this intentional ? or is it a bug ? am i missing something ? thanks for any help
