Hello guys! I'm sure there must be some better place to post this, but since I don't come much to the forums, I wouldn't know better.

That said, I'm using unity version 2019.3.9f1, and I'm unable to correctly cut sprites from a sprite atlas I've imported from asesprite. If I try to define another sprite, the editor adds only the green rectangle and seems to treat it as part of another sprite. This definitely seems to be a bug. The only workaroud I've found is to hit apply and try to do it again, but even that doensn't work everytime.

The video should make it clear what the issue is.

    Cheers!

@magehuntz I have exactly the same issue. It seems pretty random too. Quick question. Do you happen to be using perforce source control integration?

edit: Using 2019.3.8f1, was also happening in the previous version.

BUUUMP. Anyone from Unity got a workaround. It's unusable since it's re-indexing (or something) exisitng sprites when we add new ones, which breaks animations and all sorts.

[edit] And it's definitely not a source control issue.

    Hey Magehuntz,

Someone from Unity is now looking at this. I'm trying to narrow down the repro on this myslef. Can you let me know if you a) use the auto slice tool and then delete some sprites? b)rename your sprites? c) copy and paste sprite slices?

I've finally found other people having this problem! I've been searching for so long...

It's still happening for me, even in the most recent alpha, beta and final versions. How about you guys?

@nosebleed_dre It happens whether I auto slice or manually slice. If I delete the box for the sprite it attaches itself to then I can redraw both, but then I have to remember the X and Y values and all that. And sometimes (like now), once I delete both of them, it keeps attaching to more previous sprite boxes, getting to the point where I have to remember the X/Y values of, and delete, and redo, about 10 different sprite boxes, which is ridiculous. Sure I'll do it if I have to, but I really don't want to so I've been putting the game off for a few days now
