    Hi guys!

Here's a first test of our new "ChuChu Rocket" clone - SpookBustas!
Theres still a lot todo, like fix our own GUI-style, better positioning of the GUI, animating the characters and so forth
This is a MP only game, although we has left in an option to start a game with 1 player, just so you can test it if you don't find any opponent

But the main gameplay is there at least! :)
For those of you who did not play ChuChu Rocket there are some basic rules:

    * When a Spook or Busta reaches a wall it turns right
    * For every Spook that you get into your nest, you get 1 point
    * You have 3 arrows to set out on the field (point with mouse, set with WASD) and if you try to set more, they dissapear in the order you set them
    * If a Busta reaches your nest, you loose 1/3 of your points

    Enjoy!

You can find the game with 2 complete levels here:

    Ooh, this will be good!

I tried the web player and wasn't excited to have to register to play, but when I did fill out the form, there was an alert saying, "QUERY FAILED: COLUMN 'CONFIRMED' CANNOT BE NULL".

Yeah I agree with the guys above. I think it's a bit premature considering you're just testing the waters.

    Oh, sorry guys :(
I had uploaded an older version >.<

    Registration works now...

The reason for having to register is that it will have online rankings and highscores later, and since its done directly in-game it's just a small speedbump...

But we could be wrong, it has happened before ;)

I personally hate scores / competition, and don't care too much about how other people have done (other than whoever I am playing with at the time). Please have this enabled as an option only.

The game plays very well, however.

I doubt that I would be in the majority of the people who play this game, with my leanings toward scores. (What I like most is teaming up with someone else and competing against really hard AI.) However, I bet a lot of other people would enjoy being able to turn the game on and start playing with other people immediately. Do what you think is best, but keep in mind that most people (perhaps casual gamers especially) aren't going to want to be bothered to input a bunch of stuff before they can find out what something is. Videos of game footage might help to entice them.

    No other comments? :?
We'd like as much feedback as possible this early in development so we can fix it before putting to much time into it...

Btw, we will remove the need for registration, and instead make it optional :)

Nicely done, just a few problems that jump out.

First, clicking End Game just freezes up the web app. (I'm running Windows)

Second, sometimes when selecting Play Again, very few or no pink guys come out, just the big blue guys gliding around. I played both levels about 5 times and it happened at least twice for each.

Also, It appears that they all travel in a clockwise rotation, so I am not sure if it is a bug when you try to send them counter-clockwise and they revert back after hitting their first obstacle. I haven't played ChuChu Rocket, so I don't know if that is intentional.

The Login failed with the same kind of error as above - however on trying it again I was able to create a user name and login - I then got the
'waiting for more players' message .. and got no
further .. but I'm tired .. so maybe my brain has
set the alarm and crashed out.

    cheers,

Ok, I'll look into the freezing problems.
Works as expected on our Macs though

Doesn't sound very good no, on my Checkup list!

This is by design - whenever they reach a wall and theres no arrow on the tile, they turn right (clockwise ;) )

Yeah, this is a lazy programmers-problem
You have to press Load Level... There will be a textline telling you to load the map too
    Sorry for the confusion
